ShenZhen09 Day 4 Dinner: 正一味 @ Coco Park

Continue from ShenZhen09 Day 4 Lunch: 缪氏川菜

Dinner time!!! It’s a Korean meal this round. I know it is weird to have Korean food in China. But sis insisted what to do?!

We chose a Korean Restaurant which is located in a complex called Coco Park (if you are taking Metro, just stop by at 购物公园站 Gou-Wu-Gong-Yuan Station). This is quite a new complex with lots of young fashion namely Esprite, Only, Arnold Parmer, Nike, Adidas and many more; and a huge Jusco Supermarket; and a grand and classy Cinema theatre called Broadway Cinema 百老汇电影院.

We had our dinner earlier so that Sis and I were on time for a movie, Wolverine. Movie in this Broadway cinema is quite expensive, priced at RMB 80 per seat per person (about RM 40+ - normal seat). Expensive, right?! But the seats, the sounds system, the screen… everything are perfect :)

Back to this Korean Restaurant, 正一味 was crowded once dusk arrived.

The Kimchi soup appeared in a super large and generous portion. It was indeed appetizing and tasted sourish. The soup was loaded with kimchi and tofu. It was served in the real hig stone bowl to keep the soup warm throughout your dinner.

We shared the Bibimbap. It came with a variety of vegetables, meat and the Korean chili paste.
.

Mix well to create the perfect taste. Yum. It tasted just like the bibimbap I tried before in those Korean restaurants in KL.

I find that the people in China can really eat. Most of the tables were full with rice and vegetables. I’d noticed, even a table for 2 (a couple), they could actually have a kimchi soup and 2 bibimbap (one each). They can really eat! Besides, the food here is seriously cheap and extremely large in portion. For Kimchi Soup, Bibimbap and 2 cups of Tea were only less than RMB 45.

EC Foodie Restaurant e 食无忧 @ Taman Segar

IMG_1063

There are a lot of eateries near my housing area. Sometimes, I don’t even have the opportunity to try them out and … *poof* the old one closed down and another new restaurant sets up and opens up for business.

IMG_1075

EC Foodie Restaurant, e 食无忧 located just next to Maxis Centre at Taman Segar is considered as a newly opened restaurant; replacing an old HK style Char Chan Teng.

One night, I had a chance to drop by for supper with theSugar and Tingie.

If not mistaken, this is balley with milk 薏米撞奶. It has an interesting name, but lack of milky taste.

IMG_1069

Sugar’s Passion Fruit Juice was a little oversweet.

IMG_1072

My Honeydew Milk was a rich one and we love it.

What’s on our supper???

IMG_1086

2 bowls of la mien (I forgot the name), we ordered.

IMG_1087

The noodles were good, slightly spicy and abundant with minced meat and mushrooms

IMG_1082

Fried turnip cake in XO sauce, XO 酱炒萝卜糕 was pretty good. However, we still miss the one from Canton-i.

IMG_1078

Their Shanghai Xiu Loong Bao 上海小笼包 was a surprise to us. The taste of XLBs mimics the one from Dragon-i and priced slightly cheaper too. We love this. And due to their opening special in last September, 3 of us get to enjoy a basket of XLB at RM 0.10

IMG_1091

Don’t forget to top ginger and vinegar to the XLB before eating :)

The egg tarts were yummy too. The only complaint -... they are too small.

MOF @ Pavilion KL

I love Matcha
And I love Azuki
If ever they can combine together
To be the perfect match?!

Yep, I found this at MOF の Japanese Sweets at Pavilion KL.
It was few months ago while I had a short shopping with theSugar. We took our seats here after the ‘walkout’ and opted this from the Zenzai section.

Matcha Zen 抹茶ぜん– RM 13.50
Look, the scoop of Green Tea Low Fat Gelato Ice Cream swam in the middle of Hokkaido Red Bean Paste with few of her best friends – the Japanese Dumpling. The Hokkaido Red Bean Paste is made from premium air flown Hokkaido Red Bean.

IMG_0475

Japanese Green Tea Ice Cream is bittery in taste while the Azuki Red Bean Paste is slightly sweeter than we thought. Once you have both of them together, it turns out to be the perfect combination. The sweetness of Azuki brings out the fragrant green tea from the Ice Cream. And the Azuki is no longer that sweet. Moreover, the Ice Cream is low in fat! I don’t mind having a few more scoops.

Tambun biscuit from Him Heang

We love this cutie little biscuit from Penang.
This little biscuit,
At the size of ping pong ball or smaller,
Stuffed fully with fragrant green bean paste that has stirred fried with lard

Peach Yogurt Baked Cheese Cake

When the baking mood comes, I will disappear myself into kitchen and appear myself in the living room after some hours. *just like playing the Apparition and Disapparition spells from Harry Potter.*

Last Friday, the baking mood dropped by. I got stimulated and disappeared into the kitchen again. With the help of the little elves (the handy little machines), I baked the Peach Yogurt Baked Cheese Cake. :)

IMG_2222

The Peach Yogurt Baked Cheese Cake is baked into golden Yellowish.

IMG_2252

The Velvety cheese part is extremely silky smooth and soft. It melts between the hard palate and tongue. Simply irresistible + Cheesilicious!

We finished the last piece on Sunday.
The family complained… Not Enough peaches. I should have line-d in more. Gotta put in more peach slices next time

:)
