Crumbs Frozen Yogurt

IMG_2638

Crumbs has brought the frozen yogurt hype to Hong Kong citizens. It is now sprouting all over the island and their 8th branch has arrived in New Territories not long ago.

When Citygal and I were travelling in Hong Kong last year, we joined the queue at the Causeway Bay branch to get ourselves a cup of Crumbs. Yes, the queue... long queue are always spotted outside the small little shop.

Various toppings are available for you to go with the frozen yogurt such as their signature house crumbs, mochi, mini meringue, oreo, fresh strawberries, fresh blueberries, M&Ms, gummy bear...............

Besides their yummy frozen yogurt, Crumbs also offers home-baked scones too! Flavours are such as cheese, raisin and chocolate (HKD 6 - 7 each)

We had the regular frozen yogurt with 1 topping (HKD 28). The large one with 2 toppings costs HKD 32. The frozen yogurt was smooth, very smooth, and with a light hint of sourish taste; it was creamier than the one we usually had. The plus point was the house signature topping - the crumbs!!! crunchy bits of crumbs with light cinnamon taste, and the crumbs tasted like those from the apple crumble!

Tonkatsu by Wa Kitchen @ Pavilion KL

Reading Cumi&Ciki's post on Tonkatsu was really a torture to me. I know, I seriously need an emergency dose of Tonkatsu (But I can't make it at that time!!!)

Finally, after those tough weeks, I was able to travel down town, to satisfy the craving that started weeks ago. Together with the makan kaki-s - Chris&Christine and Tinkie, we got ourselves a table for 4 and happily munched our Tonkatsu とんかつ

Started with Chawan Mushi (RM 10) - silky smooth steamed egg (with lots of ingredients in it)

We ordered 4 sets and each set is served with mountain high of sliced cabbage, rectangular cut of tofu, pickled vegetables, the yummy pork vegetables miso soup and sesame-d fluffy rice.

La Bodega @ Pavilion KL

Hola!~
It's happy hour time + a lil' birthday celebration for the birthday gal.
I love happy hour with friendsl a glass or two to go with some tapas or snack bites while avoiding the massive traffic jam during the after-working-hours.

Since it was also a birthday celebration, the birthday gal wanted a Spanish fix and we were brought to here - La Bodega, Pavilion KL

A jug of House Sangria (RM 50/jug)
The very very very very mild red wine with fruity taste; Cheers Cheers!

Salchichas al Diablo (small - RM 13)
Spicy chicken sausage sauteed with onions, chilli and tomato.
This one was very tasty. The sauce was infused with lots of spices, herbs and chilli. Hmmm, just can't help mopping up the sauce with the complementary bread.

Gambas a la plancha (small - RM 24)
Tiger prawns sauteed with chilli and garlic and olive oil.
Haha, I actually fancied the fragrant garlic slices in it.

Cafe Stelle by Raffles @ Pavilion KL

A perfect Saturday afternoon with the girls - gossiping and shopping without their guys tagging along. After some crazy shopping, we finally 'landed' here for a little of soul and mind relaxation.

Tastewise, we find that only a few selections from the above were good. However, we enjoyed the relaxing moments with the high tea set, the chats and the mind resting :)

Big Thankie to Citygal for the treat! Sweetzzz!
