Another 3 weeks+ to Vday, have you start planning where to celebrate this special occasion with your loved ones???
Thanks to the warm invitation by Nagomi Shabu-Shabu, we got to enjoy Nagomi Valentine Lover's Bento on the first day of the year. Together with my best friend and best food buddy Ai Wei, we drove over to Menara Hap Seng and met up with out fellow food bloggers friends - Lex and WeiZhi, Chris and Christine and Simon Seow.
Thanks to Nagomi Japanese Restaurant for inviting us over for the food review on their Valentine Lover's Bento, we get to enjoy an exquisite bento lunch set on the first day of the year. Priced at RM 99+ per bento, Nagomi Valentine Lover's Bento will be available from 11th of February until the 14th of February at both Nagomi Jaya 33 and Nagomi Menara Hap Seng. Each bento set includes a soba soft shell crab salada, rose sashimi, suzuki senbei, love sushi roll, king prawn with white sauce and a chocolate cheese brownie as a sweet ending.
Before our bento was served, we were served with Nagomi's potato salad as appetizer. It was a light and nice appetizer. I enjoyed the crunchiness of the fish roe garnished on the potato salad. It gave the salad an extra taste. A very good start to the meal.
Finally, the anticipated Valentine Lover's bento was served. The presentation of the bento was very lovely, visually appetizing too! I began with the rose shaped sashimi. The combination of salmon and tuna sashimi topped with tobiko was rather delicious. The sashimi was no doubt fresh and the fish roe gave an extra texture to it. Delicious.
When it comes to fresh seafood that is cheap and fresh, you may think of Klang!
But then Klang is sooooooo far away and it may take up to 1 hour +++ journey to reach there. By then, everyone will feel very hungry; unless you wake up very early, get prepare and go.
My dad who is the seafood-super-fans loves persuading us to Klang for seafood, but we always complain that it is very far away and rather spend the time sleeping at home or gaming. He never gives up looking out for a great seafood place. Till he found out this place.......
Teow Chow Seafood Restaurant located at Kepong has come to his mind one Sunday. Since he was so keen into seafood that day, we decided to give a try. Besides, the journey isn't that long. So, Why not?!
The seafood comes from Kuala Selangor and Sekinchan. They don't serve freshwater fish, and only fish from the sea. With the Menu plastered on the walls, we just ordered randomly.
