Teow Chow Seafood Restaurant @ Kepong

When it comes to fresh seafood that is cheap and fresh, you may think of Klang!
But then Klang is sooooooo far away and it may take up to 1 hour +++ journey to reach there. By then, everyone will feel very hungry; unless you wake up very early, get prepare and go.

My dad who is the seafood-super-fans loves persuading us to Klang for seafood, but we always complain that it is very far away and rather spend the time sleeping at home or gaming. He never gives up looking out for a great seafood place. Till he found out this place.......

Teow Chow Seafood Restaurant located at Kepong has come to his mind one Sunday. Since he was so keen into seafood that day, we decided to give a try. Besides, the journey isn't that long. So, Why not?!

The seafood comes from Kuala Selangor and Sekinchan. They don't serve freshwater fish, and only fish from the sea. With the Menu plastered on the walls, we just ordered randomly.

Clams in Kam Heong Style 甘香啦啦 (RM 12)

四大天王 Vegetables (RM 11)
With lady fingers, eggplants, long beans and petai stir-fried with sambal belacan.

Signature‘s Tofu 招牌豆腐 (RM 12)
Tofu deep fried into golden brown and served with mayonnaise. This one didn't impress me as the tofu was not those soft and fluffy type, it was quite packed and lil' over salty.

Deep Fried Mantis Prawn seasoned with Salt and Pepper 椒盐濑尿虾 (RM 18; RM 3/pc) was really fresh!

Butter Crabs 奶油蟹 (RM 72 for 1.6kg; RM 45/kg)
A different version of butter crabs come with liquidly butter sauce. Yum, super fingers-licking good!

And we love dipping the fried man tou into the buttery sauce.

The above was just RM 128 that fed 5 (excluded rice and beverages).
Cheap, isn't it???

Not very cheap, but reasonable. RM45/kg of crabs can be gotten cheaper elsewhere in KL, I think.
Though I'd do anything for the mantis prawns!!!! Those are cheap. Usually goes for about RM7+ each.

Hi! Live near here but never tried this restaurant. Thanks for the review! Will give it a try soon :D By the way, a couple of doors away, there's a restaurant called Foong Yit. They serve good food too! And I think slightly cheaper than Teow Chow Seafood Restaurant :)

Again, I 'lll say ... you take great shots!
