A new neighbourhood bar is now in town..

d Legends Bar - its name is
Sitting right in TTDI where its concept is to allow the people to socialize, make friends, build connections through d Legend and maintain it as a neighbourhood bar.

Thanks to Hans for the special invitation. I was here one evening, 'stayed away' from the hectic schedules, chilling out with Citygal and Chris&Christine.

Sky Bar, Traders Hotel

It was another hang out again with my two best friends on last Friday. It was a simple met up but hang out in a bar was our very first time experience together. We have known each other for 15 years. (Well, gals, we still have not come out with the celebration for our 15yrs friendship. Let’s come out with something, okay?)

SkyBar is located at Level 33 at Traders Hotel Kuala Lumpur which is very much similar to Luna Bar which housed an indoor-type swimming pool. The difference is that, when you are in Luna Bar, you can see the KL Tower clearly. When you are in SkyBar, you can see the Petronas twin towers from the seats by windows. The night view of KL is fantastic with the lighted up of skyscrapers buildings. I am totally in love with this place.

I picked up Ting Fang and followed the Sugar Bean couple, Wen Ching and Yee Siong at the back. We arrived at Traders Hotel quite early (8pm) as Wen Ching was afraid of ‘no seat’ (we failed to reserve the seats a day ago). Thanks to smart tunnel too as it leaded us from the congested traffic.

*Tink Tink*
Here we were up to Level 33 where SkyBar located in the elevator. (why were we laughing at that time?)

Indoor Swimming pool

Menu in bright pink.

The cozy and comfortable seats overviewed the Twin Towers and night view of KL.

Lighted up --- Petronas twin Tower --- Pride of Malaysia.

Singapore Sling for me, Strawberry smoothies for Ting Fang (as she doesn’t take alcohol), Kiwi Rush for Wen Ching, 2 Heineken for Yee Siong’s friend (sorry, e-siong, I have forgotten ur friend’s name) and a-dunno-what-drink for Yee Siong (sorry as well, I can’t remember the name of your drink). There was a plate of snack (peanuts and garlic-wasabi peas) in the middle. Ting Fang claimed that her Strawberry smoothie was too sweet. As for our cocktails, we found no layers of colour tones.

Prost (cheers in German) to our friendship~

P.S. specially thanks to Yee Siong (one of the authors cum designers for Sugar Bean) for jadi our photographer.

Tiffin Bay, Starhill Gallery (2)

Talking about having desserts in Tiffin Bay (2years ago) in my previous post, here I would like to make a post about Tiffin Bay (a year ago --- 25 August 2006) again with my 2 best friends. Wen Ching and I have promised to bring Ting Fang over and try out their desserts. Sadly, when we arrived at Tiffin Bay and checked out what they had on the bar counter, we found no more enormous cakes, and yet, they have changed their dessert into half portion smaller of cakes compared to cakes in our previous visit. *sigh + sad* no more large portion of cakes. Since we were here and with disappointment, we then looked in their menu and see what they had for lunch.

Here we go, from enormous tasty dessert into warm, greeny and hearty bread for lunch.
The white for Ching and the pink for me. I can only remember the pink --- strawberry smoothies. Can’t remember the white one

Ting Fang opted for Norwegian salmon in some kind of bread and served a long with Italian style salad.

I took the grilled braised chicken and baked in oven served with Italian style salad

I can’t remember what Wen Ching chose. It was something like pizza and served with Italian style salad as well.

Alright, this was a very healthy lunch and yet it was not cheap. But we gals did enjoyed ourselves in this cozy place.

Tiffin Bay, Starhill Gallery (1)

Looking back on old photos always bring up sweet memories to me. Besides, all these bring me back to the scene of the day. Then, let’s talk back to 28 December 2005 *kekeke* will this too far aback from today. Wen Ching was back from UK for few weeks holiday. We met up and hang out together. Our main purpose of the day was to get Ting Fang’s year 2006 birthday present. Of course, besides getting her a present, we had to get something for ourselves too. I bought a shirt and a pants and Ching bought a long sleeve shirt and jacket from MNG. By that time MNG had their year end sales *giggle* gals always can’t hold themselves from SALES. After long hours of shopping and trying out clothes, we finished our mission by getting Fang a bag from MNG too. All 3 of us are MNG fans ^_^

After long hours of shopping in Lot 10 and Times Square, we walked over to Tiffin Bay located in Starhill Gallery. Gonna spent us something delicious in this classy place.
Let’s see what we had that day~

Wen Ching opted for Chocolate Fudge cake and passion fruit smoothies

I chose a strawberry cake and raspberry and rosehip tea. The tea came in a cute small teapot and served with a cookie. I love the aroma of the tea. Wonder where can I buy this tea leaves?!

Here were types of sugar for my tea --- there were rock sugar, brown sugar, white sugar, cube white sugar and cube brown sugar. I never added any sugar in my tea as I preferred the original taste of the tea.

Well, the portion of the cakes was enormous at just Rm 8 per piece (2years ago due to newly opening) and we took quite a long time to finish up. Here were the left over portion (we couldn’t manage to polish up the dishes). The cakes were great. However, our stomach had not enough capacity to fill in the left over portion.

the prettily decorate sofa.

I like this place a lot. It is quiet and comfortable on the colourful sofa. There is music played from time to time. If you are lucky, there are musician playing piano on spot. Moreover, you will find the whole place looks amazed when slowly light up in the dusk.

the Luna

It was indeed a great night. I went to Luna Bar with my friends yesterday. I have heard of this bar from Chingie a long time ago and we both agreed to hang out there together. Sigh… we always can’t make it. It was my first time to Luna with Yan, Roy, Jian, Dred, Ken and Jimmy. We met one of our old buddies, Qi Sheng in Luna too. What a coincidence!

Luna Bar is very different from others pubs or clubs. It has an open air area with a swimming pool in the middle and seats are surrounded the pool. If you take the outdoor seats, you can see the sky and stars and moon and KL tower is just in front of you. While if you take the seats by windows, you can enjoy the night scene and the skyscrapers building are right under you.

Once I stepped into the bar, I’ve fell in love with it. This was a right place to relax and rest your mind. You can put away all the “unhappies” and swayed along the music. The atmosphere was soft and perfect under the dim light.

I ordered a Dirty Martini at first and then Blue Lagoon upon Roy’s recommendation. One of my friends ordered Flamming. I’d love flaming and I have tried it in Glo, penang before. The flaming in Glo was definitely different from the one in Luna. The one I tried was green in colour and the one my friend ordered was red. Flamming is a nice drink!

Though Dirty Martini tasted very terrible (as my friends said), I found it was not bad. What I wanted for yesterday was something tasted with strong alcohol and yet, Dirty Martini really suited my mood. i felt great after this drink and i could forget the unhappy stuff!

Spending in Luna is quite costly. However, it’s worth to spend there once a while. I am looking forward to the next hang out place ~ where's it?! ^.^
It is great to hang out with you guys!

Chingie, let’s go to Luna Bar when you are back in KL, and also Tiffin Bay at night too~
