When it comes to Mexican fares, Las Carrestas Mexican Restaurant will be in my list.
A place that decorated uniquely; part of the wall coated in orangey and plastered with number plates. And best of all, it is a great place for a little gathering and get-together with friends and family.

Zhen Liew Siang (Lau Heong) @ Sentul Raya, KL
I love food-exploring with them.
Together with Chris&Christine and WenChing, we were brought to Zhen Liew Siang (Lau Heong) by Citygal for some real Chinese food that prepared with real wok hei.
Nam Yu Fried Chicken
This is the must have item. The chicken wings were perfectly fried to golden brown and crispy-ly with a distinctive taste of fermented bean curd (Nam Yu). Crispy on the outside and juicy in the inside. A fingers-licking-good item!
Sizzling Calamari (sotong) on Hot Plate
Calamari came drench with buttery sauce and served on a banana leaf on a hotplate. Yum
"Siong Tong Lala" Clams in Broth
Packed with spices and herbal taste of wolfberries, garlic slices and cili padi. This one was kinda hot as they added too much garlic slices into it. Definitely a great one to warm your tummy.

La Bodega @ Pavilion KL
Hola!~
It's happy hour time + a lil' birthday celebration for the birthday gal.
I love happy hour with friendsl a glass or two to go with some tapas or snack bites while avoiding the massive traffic jam during the after-working-hours.
Since it was also a birthday celebration, the birthday gal wanted a Spanish fix and we were brought to here - La Bodega, Pavilion KL
A jug of House Sangria (RM 50/jug)
The very very very very mild red wine with fruity taste; Cheers Cheers!
Salchichas al Diablo (small - RM 13)
Spicy chicken sausage sauteed with onions, chilli and tomato.
This one was very tasty. The sauce was infused with lots of spices, herbs and chilli. Hmmm, just can't help mopping up the sauce with the complementary bread.
Gambas a la plancha (small - RM 24)
Tiger prawns sauteed with chilli and garlic and olive oil.
Haha, I actually fancied the fragrant garlic slices in it.

Kedai Kopi Hai Peng @ Kemaman + What to do in Kemaman?!
Yum Zhou Char 喝早茶
Morning tea (or coffee/kopi) is a habit to us; a cup of hot tea or coffee with a packet of nasi lemak or kuih. That satisfy ones tummy.
***
My aunts love hunting for food. When we were in Kemaman for a short break last year, we never really stayed in the rooms but went out early in the morning for breakfast, lunch, hi tea, jalan-jalan and back after dinner. Back after dinner was considered very early for them (as there isn't much to do in Kemaman. If you happened to follow them to BKK, gosh... We would only go back to our rooms at 1am), we then bought some snack (eg: satay) back to our rooms, tv-ed and supper.
One morning, we woke up early for this - Hai Peng Kopitiam.
Very well known kopitiam; it was crowded in the morning and we had to fight for seats.

St. Patrick's Festival @ Fitou Brasserie, Desa Park City
There isn't any public holiday in March, but this wouldn't stop us from partying.
And yes, this month, we have a-month-long celebration and party together with good friends, enjoying the scrumptious food and pints of Guinness!
Yay! The Saint Patrick'sDay Month is here!!!
A-month-long celebration from 1st March 2011 to 31st March 2011, that's the reason for happy-hour-ing and partying and enjoy the fun with all the people around. Thanks to the invitation from Fitou Brasserie, together with Chris&Christine and Citygal, we had an early Saint Patrick's Day Celebration here!
Currently, Fitou is running their Saint Patrick's Festival Menu which is exclusively available from 1st March to 31st March 2011. You can enjoy their Guinness infused ala carte at RM 34++ or the set that comes with a perfect pint of Guinness at just RM 48 nett.
Irish Beef Stew with Guinness served with Carrots and Potatoes.
Soft beef stew infused with stout beer. I wasn't able to try out how great it is. But according to them, it was flavoursome. I tried the gravy with the help of bread, Yummm, just can't help mopping up the gravy.

Ninja Joe @ The Gardens
When you have limited time for lunch, fast food is the quick way to satisfy your tummy.
I know, this is not something new to you. But, it is something new to me or us (with Chris&Christine) and it finally arrives in KL (other outlets: Sunway Pyramid and Tropicana City mall)
Ninja Joe is the name

Malayas Bistro @ CapSquare, KL
You may think, Tapas is something that is only available in Spanish menu;
Well, not really as you can get Tapas in Malaysian style here in Malayas Bistro, CapSquare.
Once I sat in here, I felt relax. I could just sit in here for the whole night, swaying along the music played by the super cool surround system, singing along with the Live Band (his voice is so cool!)...
Malayas Bistro, a hidden gem that is located in this hidden CapSquare; with the help of map, we managed to reach after some rains and bad traffics.
Dim light creates a cozy atmosphere for dining and a drinking session or two after long-day -hard-work. I would say, this is a great place 'happy-hour-ing' with colleagues and friends. You may find breakfast, lunch, tea time and show time in different menu.
