Khun Thai Village Restaurant @ Butterworth

When we were travelling up to the north, we were brought to Khun Thai Restaurant by one of our family's friends who is a resident in Butterworth. With the name, Khun Thai, you may have guessed what kind of cuisine they are serving.

  DSC_0133

Khun Thai Restaurant serves delicious authentic Thai cuisine where they emphasize on seafood and grilled stuff; and allow the customer to dine al fresco-ly.

The ambiance is kind of romantic when the dusk falls. One can choose to dine 'indoor' (tables under a roof) or 'outdoor' (under the bamboo and straw huts), cute and romantic, don't you think so?! But you may find yourself dueling with the mosquitoes sometimes.

Amphoes Muang, River Kwai Hotel & Taraburee Restaurant @ Kanchanaburi, Thailand

Hola!!! Time to continue with my Thailand holiday back in February.
You can view here for the Summary of the trip and here for the eco vintage village in Plearnwan, Hua Hin

DSC_1847

Kanchanaburi is a little town located about 130 kilometers west of Bangkok. It takes about 3 hours ride to get there (from Bangkok). If you love some adventurous journey, you may opt to travel by train which takes up to 5 hours from Bangkok

I stayed in this hotel in Amphoes Muang (Kanchanaburi city) - River Kwai Hotel.

It is located at the prime location where one easily accesses to the famous River Kwai Bridge and other attractions.

Sanook Bistro and Sports Bar @ Plaza Kelana Jaya, PJ

IMG_0759

Let's have FUN at Sanook, shall we?!?!?!

DSC_0544

Sanook is a hidden fun place at Plaza Kelana Jaya; a restaurant holding 2 concepts for you to have your meals. Love the lake view, you can choose to dine at Alfresco@Sanook which is located on the ground floor, facing the lake. Or you can opt to dine-in in Arriba@Sanook where music is played all night long.

We were greeted friendly by the godfather who is the owner, the friendly people pleaser, chief people pleaser, chief food artist.... ooohhh, they are actually the people running Sanook, the executives, chefs, waiters... how lovely are their titles!

Sanook serves scrumptious spread of dishes from all over the world which include Asian cuisine, Western fares as well as Italian pasta and wood oven pizza! Not to forget their tapas which are really 'something' to go with your drinks.

Let's start the meal with Tapas Canapes:
