Tonkatsu by Wa Kitchen @ Pavilion KL

Reading Cumi&Ciki's post on Tonkatsu was really a torture to me. I know, I seriously need an emergency dose of Tonkatsu (But I can't make it at that time!!!)

Finally, after those tough weeks, I was able to travel down town, to satisfy the craving that started weeks ago. Together with the makan kaki-s - Chris&Christine and Tinkie, we got ourselves a table for 4 and happily munched our Tonkatsu とんかつ

Started with Chawan Mushi (RM 10) - silky smooth steamed egg (with lots of ingredients in it)

We ordered 4 sets and each set is served with mountain high of sliced cabbage, rectangular cut of tofu, pickled vegetables, the yummy pork vegetables miso soup and sesame-d fluffy rice.

Don't fancy pork??? Here is another option for you while your friends are having their pork katsu.
This is it, the breaded deep fried chicken cutlet.

OF Course, never forget their dipping sauce for the fried stuff

First, you have to grind the roasted sesame

Then, add in the thick Japanese Worcestershire sauce, blend them well to create a real appetizing fragrant sauce for your fried stuff.

Love the breaded pork and the pan saute pork belly a lot. The fried pork was neither oily nor greasy; the dipping sace gave an extra kick to the fried pork. Besides that, we were impressed with the miso soup that came with lots of ingredients - pork, mushrooms, carrots and healthy konnyaku

ahhh, well, we all went off hugging our tummies....

ken,
i find it reasonable for one whole set. with choice of the pork + tofu + miso soup + pickles + rice
the miso soup has lots of hidden surprise. furthermore, it's up at the 6th floor in pavilion :)
