Xian Ding Wei Taiwanese Xpress 鲜定味台湾快餐 @ Sg. Wang
We seldom come over here; therefore, we always find it hard to think of what to have for lunch. Since there are few unfamiliar restaurants stood on the newly renovated area at the IT level, we randomly picked one for a try.
Xian Ding Wei Taiwanese Express 鲜定味台湾快餐 is under the same management of Xian Ding Wei Taiwanese Tea Room @ Sunway Pyramid and One Utama.
On beverages, we had Champagne Pearl Milk Tea 香槟珍珠奶茶 in blue and the Honey Dew Pearl Milk Tea 月世界珍珠奶茶 in green, priced at RM 3.90 each. It was a bad choice to opt for the champagne flavour as it had the awful powdery weird taste. Ewwwww..... Those selling in pasar malam taste 10 times nicer!!!
On our main courses, we opt for the set meals that sound worthy for us.
The choices of the main courses are such as chicken, boneless chunky pork, prawn, sliced beef, fish fillet, seafood (squid/mussel). You can choose your favourite cooking methods - sweet&sour, three varieties supreme brown sauce, tomato sauce with egg, honey sauce or salt & pepper.
Chicken with Three Varieties Supreme Brown Sauce a.k.a. Three Cups Chicken 台湾三杯鸡套餐 (RM 13.90) was on the sweeter side. Not the best i had before, of course.
Boneless Chunky Pork in sweet & sour sauce (RM 14.90）糖醋汁猪排套餐 was quite glue-y
Squids in Salt & Pepper 盐酥中卷 (RM 13.90) - the fried squids were good but a bit dry and not too crunchy after some times.
From the set, you can choose to have either rice or porridge. the above is the sweet potato porridge 地瓜粥 came with large orangey sweet potato.
The set meals come with soup of the day and side dishes of the day.
Taiwan-Style Sweet Potato Ball 台湾地瓜球 (RM 5.90) was deep fried into larger than the golf ball shape and it was very mochi-liked. It was very chewy in the middle and with a hint of sweet potato taste. Well, I still prefer the one from Petaling Street that deep fried with real sweet potato 'flesh'!!!

ShenZhen09 Day6: One Day Trip @ 深圳东部华侨城 + Dinner @ Blue&White
Continue from ShenZhen09 Day 5: 东门 Street Food + 静颐茶馆
Due to the outbreak of H1N1 that happened in April 09, I wasn’t really able to travel to the north during my trip. Sis didn’t want to disappoint me and signed us up for a day trip at Shen Zhen 东部华侨城 – a newly established tourism spot. If you are travelling to ShenZhen, you can void the Window of world, Culture centre… but never miss out this new tourism spot.
Shen Zhen 东部华侨城 has 3 major themes: the Knight Valley (大峡谷), Tea Stream Valley （茶溪谷）and Wind Valley（云海谷）. And… there is a huge Status of Guanyin Sitting in a Lotus Throne in this theme
Knight Valley (大峡谷) possesses the feature of Eco Park and theme park. It has 8 main areas namely Firth Forest （峡湾森林）, Wine Town, Central Hub, Discovery Adventure, Earth Core’s Adventure, Future Adventure, Ocean Adventure and Peak Tribe in the Cloud (云海高地).
Tea Stream Valley includes 4 zones namely Interlaken Town (茵特拉根小镇), Tea Ancient Town （茶翁古镇）, Sanzhou Tea Garden （三洲茶园）, and Wetland Garden (湿地花园)
If you think you cannot cover all the hot spots in one day, you can always stay overnight at the resort hotels in Interlaken Town. Besides that, you can always pamper yourself a session of beauty spa available.

After walking pass the entrance, you can opt to walk over the ‘bamboo forest’- staircase or opt for the man made escalators to reach the top. Since we chose to walk, I do not have any photos on the long manmade escalators to the man made waterfall. It was a bad weather on my visit to this tourism spot. The weather was freezing cold; it was raining and I was drenched from top to toe throughout the day. It was summer at that time but I had to wear long sleeve tee, sis was on cardigan and we both were on scarves. Add on the umbrellas with us. Huuuuh…

Took a train to Interlaken Town – a town full with European buildings where you may find the elegant resort hotel, spa center, theater here.
Since we were on tour, lunch was included. However… it was not yummy at all. But I love their fat round QQ rice. It rice is sweet and lovely. I finished them all :)

Dinner was slightly simple for us. We chose to dine in a Taiwanese chinese fast food restaurant – Blue&While 蓝&白.
First was the cold dish; Raw and crunchy shredded potatoes tossed in the appetizing sourish sauce.
A kind of bean with pork knuckles.
Eggplant
Besides this, we ordered few other dishes. The price for vege dishes range from RMB 4 to 6 while the meaty dishes are about RMB 8 or above each.
Finally, you can opt for rice or porridge. You can eat as much as you can as refills are FOC
If you wish for a quick meal, you can always choose to dine in Blue&White. It is cheap, fast and convenient to have a meal here.

Fong Lye Taiwan Restaurant @ The Gardens
Before I keep continuing grabbing and recalling memories and write about my Langkawi trip (that’s really a tough task for me), I am ‘flying’ back to KL again. KL is really a food hub. You can actually find whatever you wish or to satisfy the sudden craving.
Well, I am sure Fong Lye Taiwan Restaurant 蓬莱茶房台湾料理 isn’t new to you guys, right? However, this is still new for me. So, I had WenChing (this place is not new for her) brought me over for a lunch the other day.
We first thought it would not be crowded as it was one of the weekdays. Who knows?! We were required to ‘wait’ for a while as the waiters were tidying up the table for us.
We had the papaya milk juice 木瓜牛奶 (left) and watermelon milk juice 西瓜牛奶 (right) priced at Rm 6.80 each. It was quite refreshing but it will take up the capacity of your stomach as it is made very milky-ly.
My Cold Noodles with Sesame Sauce 凉面 is priced at Rm 9.80. It was quite large in serving with shredded chicken breast, shredded cucumber and of course the loadful of sesame sauce on the cold noodles. It was delicious. The noodles were QQ but the sesame sauce was on the sweet side. Anyway, I love the cold noodles a lot.
She then had the Black pepper bean curb set 胡椒豆腐套餐 at Rm 16.80 that came along with the hot piping bean curb (tofu), a bowl of white rice with some flavourful minced meat, a set of side dishes and a soup. It was quite a great deal where you can enjoy a full and hearty lunch.

Here ended our full dinner and we had to ‘carry’ our stomach while going on for shopping :P
