The message tone rang right at mid night.



I got a message from Sugar Bean, at mid night, asked me to do them a favour. They were lucky as I was still in front of my laptop. I googled the location of Beard Papa in London, and even sent them the day’s flavour. Oh god… that sms was killing. They made me craved for Beard Papa’s Cream Puff at midnight!


Felt lucky as the next day afternoon I was in Pavilion KL.

Green Tea Cream Puff. The puff is priced at RM 3.80 per piece. It is a little expensive but definitely a worth for the once a while ‘splurge’. Besides green tea flavour, they do have other flavours such as vanilla, chocolate, and black sesame. I wanted to try the black sesame but it was not on the day’s flavour.



Beard papa’s cream puff is the light and crunchy puff pastry. It is filled with their original custard and whipped cream blended with Premium Japanese Green Tea. Finally, it is sprinkled with green tea powder. I learnt that the choux pastry shells are made up of 2 layers. The inner layer is choux pastry shell while the outer later is piecrust.

That’s the combination of ‘crispy’ and ‘creamy’

They claim that the cream puffs contain no preservative and use only highest quality of ingredients to make those cream puffs. Hence, the puffs are best eaten immediately or refrigerate and consume the puffs within 24 hours.


Gladly, the Green Tea Cream Puff satisfied my craves.

ShenZhen09 Day 4 Lunch:缪氏川菜

Continue from ShenZhen09 Day 3 Dinner: Street Food + KFC Blueberry Egg Tarts

We had Sze Chuan Meal at 缪氏川菜 on my day 4 of visiting. Talking about Sze Chuan dishes, ones always think of red, orange, red chilies oil, chilies and dried chilies!!! Besides the hot and spicy, they do actually serve sourish food that can boost up your appetite.

缪氏川菜 is well decorated in that oldish way, giving you a real Chinese atmosphere and create a relaxing and enjoyable environment for dining. The wall is painted in red and lanterns are here and there, hanging from the ceiling.






It was super pack with OL and office staffs while we were there as it was lunch time.

Once seated, we were served with 2 appetizers

The dried sliced bean curd on the left and the radish pickles on the right.

The china they used is quite classy. I love the menu from this kind of restaurants. The menus they printed are thick and glossy as though the wedding photo albums.



川北凉粉 (cold dish) was the most appetizing of all. It was served in cold, loaded with some XO-liked sauce and chopped leeks.


藕丸 (sorry that I can’t remember the full name) were the finely chopped lotus roots and make into dough-liked with minced meat. Shape into balls, Fried and served with the sourish sauce. I think I had almost half the plate of this.


Cabbage was cooked in quite a different way. There were gei-zi(s) in it.


Finally here came the fish (can’t remember the name too). This was super large in portion where 3 of us (me, sis and friend) couldn’t really finish!


Look, how large the bowl is when compared with the normal size spoon?!


Fish slices were well prepared, cooked in a more salty and spicy way. Best with a bowl of rice.

Burrrp, it was super full and after that, we shopped in 西武 and 中心城市广场 which is just located nearby where we had our lunch.

ENJU @ Prince Hotel & Residence Kuala Lumpur

ENJU, a Japanese Restaurant which is located on the second floor of Prince Hotel & Residence Kuala Lumpur is currently introducing the Ladies Set Lunch which is available from 1st July to 31st July. The set is priced at RM 35 ++ which comprise of Chawan Mushi, Sushi Moriawase, Gindara Teriyaki, Hiyashi Somen, Yasai Takiawase, Oshinko Moriawase, Miso Soup and fruit sorbet as dessert. All these dishes are exquisitely prepared by Chef Thomas who has 18 years of Japanese culinary skills, mastering from traditional to fusion dishes.

Thanks to BBO for the invitation. I was having a great dinner with Xin, Jessica, CK Lam, Richard, Edward, Shirley and a guy who look-so-alike-like the HK actor :P





The environment is cozy and relaxing under the dim lit lighting.

1st round, we sampled the Ladies Set Lunch.

Deep Fried Potato, the appetizer.


Sushi Moriawase, the assorted handmade sushi with sushi rolls.


Gindara Teriyaki, the Alaskan black cod grilled with teriyaki sauce and served with fresh salad





Hiyashi Somen, the chilled white thin noodles topped with fish cake, cucumber, tempura flakes, mushrooms and nori served with shoyu dipping sauce.

Chawan Mushi, the steamed egg custard with gingko nuts and mushrooms.


Yasai Takewase, the seasonal vegetables and mushrooms simmered in soya sauce.


Oshinko Moriawase is the assorted pickles vegetables.


Miso Soup is the fermented soya bean soup with tofu, seaweed and chopped springs onions.


Finally, the refreshing fruit sorbet is available in 3 flavours. You can choose the apple, orange or lemon sorbet that is served on ice.



Besides the Ladies Set Lunch, ENJU is having the Kinyobi, Friday Nights Unlimited Ordering Sushi Menu which is available on every Friday. Priced at RM 65 ++ per pax. Every sushi dinner consists of miso soup or clear bonito soup, a choice of main course and dessert, and unlimited ordering of selected Nigiri, Maki and Temaki sushi (rice rolls and hand rolls).

From the main courses and desserts, each individual gets to select one of the dishes
Main courses: Shake Garlic Fried Rice, Tempura Moriawase, Tori Katsudon and Sake Shioyaki or teriyaki.
Dessert: Kudamono Moriawase Goma Tare (tropical fruits tossed with sesame peanut butter dressing), Macha (Green Tea) Ice Cream or Sorbet.

As for Nigiri, Maki and Temaki sushi, it is unlimited ordering from the menu!!!
I was told that the Friday night buffet is such a boom! It is always a full house on Friday night. If you are interested, do make reservation before heading ENJU.

Chef Thomas came out with a trolley full with fresh ingredients. What is he doing???


He made us fresh hand rolls!



Look, the huge hand roll was filled up with fresh ebikko, unagi…… you named it.

3rd round, Temaki


Temaki were prepared by Chef Thomas.

That was the end of the meal and we were all super full.

A Wet Thai Café @ Taman Yulek

Bored with too much of Chinese Food from somewhere we couldn’t reach in minutes? Let’s have something else.

Thai Cuisine is always irresistible. Love the spiciness, love the sourish-ness, and love the aroma of the herbs they used in cooking… so, anyone dislikes Thai Cuisine?

This is somewhere I have visited for few times for the very authentic Thai Cuisine. A Wet Thai Café is quite easy to look for. It is located at Taman Segar a few shops next to Hau Kee Restaurant (guess no one doesn’t know the 4-shops-in-a-row Chinese restaurant).



Plain water?! Oh no, it’s not just plain sky juice but there is the strong fragrant of pandan leaves in this plain water.




Let’s start with the platter. The Platter came with Pandan Chicken, Fish Cake (top right), Kerabu Mango --- the mango salad and another type of fish cake?! (Sorry that I can’t recall the one at the bottom left in the pic)



We had another extra plate of Kerabu Mango. The sliced Mango was kinda sourish. Additional of chili that added the hint of spiciness and the variety of ingredients and sauces that tossed-in for its special taste.

This is the minced pork where you have to enclose them with the pieces of greens provided. It is A little salty but goes best with white Thai rice.



Pineapple Fried Rice is light and fluffy in texture and bountiful with pineapples and the crunchy cashew.


Pork Knuckles is one of the best selling dishes in the restaurant. It was crispy on the outside and the meat was tender and juicy. With the dipping sauce provided, it definitely gives you a big Ohhhmmm.



Thai Style Steam Fish. It was real Fresh! The steam fish was a little-look-alike the Teochew style where there were added salted vegetables.


Of course, a must not miss out --- Stirred Fried Petai and Prawn with Balacan.


This restaurant is well known for their BBQ as well. The barbequed fresh fish was too good that my family members done it right before photo capturing. Sorry, left only bone here.


Tom Yum Seafood Soup that appeared in orange-reddish was rather appetizing. It looked fiery but not that super hot as you think. It was spicy + sour + the freshness of seafood. However, the seafood portion was rather lesser than I taught. Well, it was still a good go. Besides this tom yum seafood soup, they do have another type of soup which is cooked and served in the coconut shell. I have tried it once and it was tempting but priced slightly higher.


The house’s self made Thai style chili sauce. It is compatible with every mouth watering Thai dish or even alone with white rice. Don’t get freak out with the green and blue spots in the Thai chili sauce. They were actually the reflection of the lights.

All the food is prepared in a very authentic Thai style and the price for each is quite reasonable.
Be early if you want to dine in here because the restaurant starts to get crowded after 7.30pm
