The weather is pretty nice lately. Weather like this always makes ones feel sleepy; and sometimes, oversleep. So, we (with WenChing) decided to go for a morning breakkie; to recharge the energy and to wake ourselves from the sleepiness.


We stepped in and had our seats at the open area, overlooking their garden, and with cool breeze caressed our faces.

We shared this bigger portion that came with extra beans, mushrooms, bacon and sausage.

10 days to New Year.
I came out this little plan in order to countdown to the brand New Year - "Countdown to New Year Makan Plan".

With Bestie - WenChing, we started with The Huckleberry Cafe situated at one cozy corner in Times Bookstore, Bangsar Shopping Centre. 




The cafe is not very spacious but it can house about 18 to 20 pax.



We ordered ourselves beverages and baked goods; settled down at the comfy sofa; hugged the fluffy colourful pillow and started to hide our faces with books.

Soft Pumpkin Cake 松软南瓜蛋糕

I love to bake goodies that are simple, light and fluffy.
I love baked goodies that are made of natural ingredients; not with artificial flavouring or colouring. 
And this round, I chose to bake with pumpkin. Browsed through Table for 2 or... more and found this lovely recipe :P

I too, used this recipe and turned it into Swiss-rolls and added in pumpkin puree and whipping cream as the filling. It turned out prettily in golden orangey colour that one couldn't resist!

Huck's Cafe - The Private Kitchen

Yay! We fought ourselves places to Private Kitchen - Huck's Cafe!

It was a tough one as the seats are limited during this festive month. Last week, we (with Kbcg, C&C and Wenching) were lucky to have 6 seats over there to celebrate Chris & Christine's birthdays that fall on this December. 



Tucked hiddenly in PJ, is this beautifully renovated double-storey corner house (with a hint of Balinese feel), serving quality food at a very reasonable price (the servings are huge too!). Huck's cafe charges RM 68 nett per pax for a three course meal (starter, main course and dessert) and beverages are included. Reservation is a MUST and kindly view their FB page.

We were presented with 2 types of soup and a garden salad as the starters.

Tien Sun Tien Restaurant 天上天美味园 is my recent find for a great spread of Chinese dishes at a reasonable price. I have been frequent here lately; at least once a week for their flavourful Chinese dishes that prepared with real ‘wok hei'. Besides that, the servings are quite generous.







金瓜豆腐 Homemade Tofu in Pumpkin Sauce (RM 8)
The smooth and velvety homemade tofu and enoki mushroom were drenched with lil' sweet golden pumpkin sauce.

What is best during the rainy day???

STEAMBOAT!!!



It was a raining evening and we thought it would be great to warm our tummies with some hot piping food. Hence, we chose to have steamboat at Jade Pot Steamboat Restaurant 一品锅, Old Klang Road.

This has become their favourite place for steamboat since not long ago and recommended it to us. 




It says: Spent more than RM 50 and above on Dim Sum, you are entitled 20% discount (except Sunday and public holiday) / Spend more than RM50 on steamboat, you're entitled a 10% discount voucher on your next visit.

Since there were 5 of us, we ordered their set meal for 4 which is priced at RM 89.80+ and asked for the conversion of normal Yee Mee (egg noodles) to the springy Hong Kong Yee Mee at an additional of RM 1.50 charge.



Soup wise, you can choose to have their ABC Soup, Tom Yum, Fish Head with Yam or Shark Bone's Soup. 

We chose to have their Fish Head and Yam Soup since the Shark Bone's Soup was not available that evening. The soup was really thick and flavourful and we found that the soup was MSG-less.

The 4 person set came with assortments of fish balls, dumplings, sotong balls, fried dumplings, stuffed tofu, prawns, pork slices, enoki mushrooms, and various types of vegetables.

We both (with WenChing) have not been to Bangsar Village for quite some times and got surprise to find out the changes done to Bangsar Village. 



The new place - Plan B is something that brought us here. 


I love Plan B a lot. Once we stepped into this busy place, we couldn't help ourselves pressing our noses against the display counter; oohing and aahing... 



There are a lot to choose from the menu as well as the display counters - cakes, muffins, breads and bars. We wish to try out everything; but we understand, there is always the word 'limit' stamped on our tummies. 



Apple & Pecan Muffin (RM 10).
Huge - a word i could find to describe it. The fluffy muffin was generous with apple fillings, touched up with crumbs and pumpkin seeds. Love it!!!

Thanks to the management of GTower, I had a great opportunity to enjoy the hospitality and the green ideas provided by G City Club Hotel. I do love their green idea; it is like doing a bit for the environment and the earth while traveling. :)

Was placed into Class 1M,
and there was where we met each other... 

Until today,
It has been a total 17 years,

Oh Coffee Lovers,

Ever heard of handmade coffee 手工咖啡 ? 




Here, the tiny coffee beans are hand-grinded
They are brewed by distillation.
Even the hot milk is bubbled with hand (not with the machine)
Everything are done by hand and work the least or minimal with machine.
That's why they are known as handmade coffee 手工咖啡



Thanks to Citygal, introducing us such a great place for special cups of distilled coffee in one afternoon; and ... we were seriously addicted to the coffee.



Typical cafe, a little gem that tucked near the entrance of Shaw Parade, Pudu. 
You will fall in love with the aromatic scents of coffee as well as the atmosphere once you step in here. It is a small, homely decorated place and there isn't many tables and chairs around. You are always welcomed to share a table with the other coffee lovers or have your seats at the bar counter, have a look of how the friendly staffs brew the coffee with lots of love.

There isn't much entertainment or activities in Kemaman except eat and food and eat and food. 

Glad that there was a good place to walk over from Awana Kijal Resort in just 5 minutes distance.
