Tanzini @ GTower, Jalan Tun Razak, KL
Up to 28th floor...
to Tanzini...
Thanks to the management of GTower, G and VK. I had a well night spent in GTower as well as in Tanzini with Citygal.
Tanzini, located on the 28th floor in GTower; dimly lit and well decorated in a creative + modern +elegant way.
Martinis for the ladies
Apple Martini; Lychee Martini
an non alcoholic drink, flavoured with fresh mints and lemongrass.
Complementary fresh bakes from the oven. The mushroom bread was something lovely as a start for the night.
Tanzini Antipasti Tower (RM 50) serve 2 - 3 pax
The three tiered platter highlighting the freshest antipasti delights. All these are the day's special. Well arranged, tiny, finger size bites prepared by the chef.
Tanzini Tiger Prawn Vongole (RM 38)
Served with huge grilled tiger prawn & clams and Tau Miu sprouts; toss-tossed with garlic and oil. If you dislike greeny taste in your plate, this is not something for you as it was full with the essence of tau miu sprouts.
I had the one from the sea...
Grilled Jade Perch Fish Fillet (RM 38)
Organic Jade Perch served with herbs, capers, potatoes, cherry tomatoes & asparagus and lightly dressed with Orvietto aglio olio. The skin was salted and pan grilled into crispy and the fish fillet was well flavored. I love this :)
From the garden...
Agnello Milanese (RM 46)
Cutlets of Australian lamb grilled served with olives, eggplants & sun baked tomatoes
We can never go off without some sweet ending...
Parlov a slow - baked Meringue (RM 16)
Summer berries, creme anglaise & bittersweet chocolate. One of the best Pavlov I have ever had; fresh and light, cottony, non sweet and not sticky to your hard palate.
Coconut Penna Cotta (RM 18)
The penna cotta was infused with fragrant coconut milk; served along with appetizing raspberry sorbet and orange candy. i find the raspberry sorbet very refreshing and well compatible with the milky coconut penna cotta.
Chocolate Pot (RM 20)
The indulgent chocolate pot infused with fresh orange zest, and served with some handmade almond biscotti.
Tiramisu A Pezzi (rm 26) came with a huge bowl of shaved ice to keep the tiramisu at its optimum temperature. This portion may look small however, it fits 2!
Made with freshly Lavazza toasted coffee bean, rich and creamy with Mascarpone cream cheese and this was quite a filling one.
Dine in with the Spectacular night View of KL...
Verdict:
Tanzini serves quite a fine Italian cuisine (+/- the fusion with Asian flavours) at a very reasonable price. Taste-wise, the food was just okay to me; not too much oooohhhh-and-ahhhh. However, the sweet ending-s and the breathtaking view of the night of KL has done the compensatory to our meal :)
