Nathalie's Gourmet Studio @ Solaris Dutamas
Hooooooooooray, we were finally here.
It was the last lunch of the year. We thought it would be great to have something find as a "closing ceremony" and conclusion for Year 2010.
When Citygal texted me me, "Let's go do lunch at Nathalie's and then grocery shopping with me!" I replied okay excitedly. Nathalie's Gourmet Studio has always on top our 'to try list' and we had a chance to come here, finally. :)
Simple and clean interior with open kitchen and steel wares as decorative items; high chairs and high tables.
The open kitchen.
You can observe the serious team; busy cooking and preparing the fine food for their diners.
Complementary Bread and Butter
Looking tempting, isn't it???
Apple Tatin Tart, on a Brioche Base, Pan Fried Duck Liver, Apple Juice (RM 32) as our starter.
Creamy pan fried duck liver and a slice of caramelised apple tatin sandwiched in between the crunchy brioche; drenched with the appetizing apple juice sauce. The duck liver was very rich and creamy that just melts in your mouth. Every bites were surprises.
Duck Breasts Stuffed with Blueberries and Italian Parsley, Creamy Hazelnut Polenta, Hazelnut Emulsion (RM 40)
The duck breasts were tender and soft; with blueberries and chives stuffed within the duck breasts, you will find a lil' sweet and sourish surprise when you have the combination together. And they were best to go with the hazelnut polenta and hazelnut emulsion; fragrant and creamy.
I can't help wiping up the sauce with the help of bread.
Green Capsicum Tagliatelles, Gorgonzola and Chives Sauce (RM 33)
A simple pasta dish it is; with handmade tagliatelles and loaded with the right proportion and amount of gorgonzola and chives sauce. Tagliatelles is kind of similar to the pan mee we had here but less chewy and less dough-y.
On desserts, we had Mont Blanc, Chestnut Sorbet (RM 22)
with soft and creamy chestnut puree dressed prettily over the crunchy but airy (at the same time) meringue base. I love this!!!
Haha!
of course, must not miss out the Nathalie's signature!
Macaroon!!! - Praline & Pistachio (RM 4.40/pcs)
Forget those sickening sweet macaroons. This is the real and the best macaroons! Nathalie's macaroon comes with airy texture on the shells and chewy and soft on the inner part. The pistachio tasted very pistachio and the praline was very praline. Best of all, they are non sweet!
Flat White to go with the desserts and end our meal.
And finally, walked out with lighter wallets. Yaiksss but worth every cent spent.
