Taste Good Restaurant 好记海鲜饭店 @ Bandar Puteri Puchong

A big thankie to Ken for the invitation. I got to meet up and join the other food bloggers – Witch, Wilson & Rachel, Taufulou; and the very familiar food bloggers – Chris & Christine and Big Boys Oven. Nice meeting you guys.

Puchong is a …. Not to say new but a well developed food hub. Restaurants mushroom in and around this area. Ms. Ong, the person in charged from Taste Good Restaurant welcomed us warmly. She then explained the background and the story of restaurant…

Needless to describe much as the other food bloggers have had this posted up (sorry as I am delaying works again = =), let’s go to the food.

炒双尤 Stir fry Dried & Fresh cuttle fish with Onions and Peas (RM 15). It is the combination of cuttlefish and squids with capsicums and green pea.

IMG_0710

苦瓜生骨煲 Claypot Spare Ribs with Bitter Gourd (RM 15) in the very home cooked style.

IMG_0715

生煲黄酒金凤鱼 Steamed Mandarin Fish in Rice Wine (RM 23)

IMG_0720

上平豆腐 Beancurd in Pumpkin sauce. I find this a little too light for me as I prefer something thick and strong.

IMG_0727

红烧猪肉 Braised 3-ply Pork Belly

IMG_0732

芭蕉鸡 Sweet & Sour Crispy Chicken is something I love most. The sauce is sourish and refreshing.

IMG_0736

奶香蟹 Butter & Pumpkin Crabs is the chef’s signature dish. It is kinda special loaded with tiny-sago-liked-seeds along with the pumpkin sauce. That seeds are actually the butter @@ can’t believe they can actually turn the butter into tiny tiny seeds.

金香蟹 Crabs in Kam Heong Style

上汤珍珠蚌 Clams (lala) in Superior Soup. Fresh clams but the superior soup was slightly on the salty side. This was best with a bowl of rice.

Dessert's Bar @ Casa Tropicana, PJ

When it comes to desserts, those who are on diet might say… No… not desserts again or some might even want to close this window/ tab. Well, try not to do so as these desserts are meant for everyone.

Dessert’s Bar, serving desserts in a healthier way. Not too sugary sweet, not too extreme with fats. Every single calorie is taken care of. Every desserts and main courses are prepared by fresh real fruits and fresh ingredients. You can just sit back and indulge these desserts without any guilt.

You will never go wrong ordering their famous smoothies. You are given options to customize your own smoothies by choosing your favourite fruits and blend with choices of vanilla or chocolate and soy milk or fresh milk.

Christine’s glass of smoothies in the combination of Mango, Vanilla and Soy Milk (priced at RM 8.80). It was a rich and creamy one. Great for sharing

Strawberry & Banana (RM 9.80) is a daring combination. First, you can taste the sourish strawberry and later the sweet banana taste. You will find this kinda ‘new’ and ‘interesting’. Dare to try this out?

Minty Lemon is my glass of smoothies. I always love the real refreshing beverage.

Iced Latte for Citygal.

We started with something light. I am the big fan of Goma (sesame) flavour. I will order Anything that come with black sesame. The Ice Cream Crepe – Goma / Black Sesame Flavour (priced at RM 7) was something I love. It is the hot piece of crepe with a large scoop of goma ice cream and finally sprinkled with black sesame.

Hot + Cold = ?

Let your taste buds experience it.

Grape Cheesecake (RM 8) – the dense and cheesy-licious baked cheese cake.

Belgium Chocolate Fondue (RM 23.80) comes with 6 delicious scoops of ice cream - black sesame, strawberry, chocolate and a fruits platter. Just place the dippables into the hot, melted premium Belgium chocolate and finally coat with nuts and pistachio. Hmmmm, lovely.

We had their mains such as

Grilled Chicken with Portobello Mushroom Wrap (RM11.90)

Grilled Chicken with Jalapeno Cheese Wrap (RM10.90), this is nice especially paired up with their special honey mustard sauce. Can I order for extra sauce?! :P

Never forget to try their muesli. They are packed with abundant of dried fruits, plentiful of mixed nuts – almonds, walnuts… and oats. You will find ‘Healthy’ in every servings of muesli.

Will you say NO to desserts again???

Us – Christine & Chris, Citygal, Sugar and I

Between, we were lucky to enjoy everything at half price on Dessert’s Bar anniversary week!

Thanks to Dessert’s Bar!!!

Bangsar Seafood Garden Restaurant @ One Bangsar

Bangsar Seafood Garden Restaurant, located at One Bangsar is a pretty luxurious and sumptuous seafood restaurant. Thanks to KampungBoyCityGal, I got tagged along for this invited dinner. And it was very nice meeting Vkeong and Jade for the very first time :) (thank you very muchie too, Jade)

The restaurant is prettily decorated and this ambiance setting promises an enjoyable dinner.

We started with Loh Han Vegetables which is priced at RM 40. The huge portion of vegetarian dish came with abundant of mushrooms, dried bean curd, broccolis, carrots, baby corns…. Additional of Gei Zi and Red Dates boost up the sweetness of this dish.

Fresh Water Prawn with Special Sauce (RM 135 per kg) that topped with handful of chips was sourish + appetizing.

Every mouthful of prawn was ‘lively’ and ‘bouncy’. and you know you wil love this!

Baked Cod Fish with Oat (RM 130 per kg) was appealing. It was quite a unique way to serve the cod fish with oat. Especially the sauce, it was creamy and tangy. The sauce itself can definitely draw your stomach a few bowl of rice.

Wok Fried Rice with Pumpkin Cubes (RM 40 for large serving) was something I love. I always love dishes with pumpkin in it. The rice was fluffy and fragrant and fried with wok hei. Additional of pumpkin cubes enhanced the sweetness and it brings the lovely and appealing colour to the whole dish.

It’s the time to get your hands dirty!!!

We were lucky enough to get to try their well-known Butter Crab (RM53-60 per kg). Look at the crab, they were super huge to ‘swim’ in ‘fitting’ whitish plate.

They are so meaty and the claws are gigantic in size! It was so fingers-licking good!

The crabbies were coated with thick creamy and buttery sauce. The sauce was best with fried or steamed bun

The fried buns / steamed buns (RM 6 for 12 pieces)

Next was the Salted Egg Yolk Crab. The crab was overloaded with the salted egg yolk. This dry version of crabs had over votes. We couldn’t stop ourselves from slurping over the crab. Once again, it was so fingers licking good!

Last but not least, we were served with the desserts --- Chilled Honey Dew with Avocado and Aloe Vera. It was a very refreshing dessert after dinner. However, this is prepared upon request. If you wish to try this out, do make a reservation before heading to Bangsar Seafood Garden Restaurant.

2nd round, hand roll

Chef Thomas came out with a trolley full with fresh ingredients. What is he doing???

He made us fresh hand rolls!

Look, the huge hand roll was filled up with fresh ebikko, unagi…… you named it.

Temaki were prepared by Chef Thomas.

That was the end of the meal and we were all super full.
