Memorable Birthday 09 Part 5: Dome @ KLCC

Continue from Memorable Birthday 09 Part 4: The Blast @ Wong Kok Char Chan Teng

*Note: this was a 7-month-ago story*

Who doesn’t like birthday celebration?! Where you can chat with your friends, get together with your not-so-frequently-contact friends, having big Birthday blasts, eat eat eat and drink drink drink.

This is my last and final episode of Memorable Birthday 09. I had a small sweet Lunch with another best-ies at Dome, KLCC. Looking for a table wasn’t that easy especially it is the time for lunch during weekdays. OL and office staffs had overflowed the restaurant. Hence, We had to queue up for a table

As I said, it was a sweet lunch, we ordered ourselves the Yummy Desserts.

Vienna is something my best-ie loves a lot. She had it. Vienna from Dome is actually a single shot of espresso infusion, topped up with hot water and finished off with fresh whipped cream and a dusting of chocolate. It’s so Vienna!

I had the Hot Chocolate which was actually a shot of Dome drinking chocolate topped up with gently steamed milk and finally dusted with chocolate. There was an additional piece of marshmallow that gave a boost of sweetness to my cup of hot chocolate!

Chocolate Mousse Cake was the chocolate mousse between the layers of chocolate fudge cake. It was covered in a rich chocolate ganache and hazelnut praline. This was so chocolicious and we actually licked clean the chocolate left on the plate.

Black & Tan was actually new on the menu (seven months ago. unsure if they added on or deleted this from the menu). It was the moist dark chocolate cake coated with tangy cream cheese froasting. And finally topped and decorated with chocolate chips. The cream cheese frosting was quite a refreshing one and went well with the dark chocolate cake.

Guess I had a wonderful, Lovely Chocolicious Sweet Lunch.

Here is the end of my Memorable Birthday 09 celebration. There will be more in upcoming years (I hope). See you then, for another Memorable Birthday in 2010. Muacks!~

Friends, best-ies… you all know what to do lar. Nyek-nyek-nyek-nyek

Memorable Birthday 09 Part 4: the blast @ Wong Kok Char Chan Teng

Continue from Memorable Birthday 09 Part 3: Mini Uhu! Hu! from The Loaf @ Pavilion KL

*Note: this is a 7-month-ago story*

They, who were just had their trip in Cameron Highland, drove by my house.
They, who were really tired after their trip, dragged me out
They, who dragged me out, wanted my ID
They, who wanted my ID, to claim the super gigantic Milk Tea

And yes, we were at Wong Kok Char Chan Teng for the birthday blast.

We had a simple dinner at Wong Kok. Not many photos I could take as my friends started to ‘swallow’ food as soon as the food were in front of them.
And here, I will just let the photos do the talking.

This blast was incredible. Thanks for the cakes and dragging me out for this wonderful celebration. Knew you guys were tired after the long trip. And sorry for such a late review. :P

PS: and never say i never blog about you guys, tag on you guys :P

Bangsar Seafood Garden Restaurant @ One Bangsar

Bangsar Seafood Garden Restaurant, located at One Bangsar is a pretty luxurious and sumptuous seafood restaurant. Thanks to KampungBoyCityGal, I got tagged along for this invited dinner. And it was very nice meeting Vkeong and Jade for the very first time :) (thank you very muchie too, Jade)

The restaurant is prettily decorated and this ambiance setting promises an enjoyable dinner.

We started with Loh Han Vegetables which is priced at RM 40. The huge portion of vegetarian dish came with abundant of mushrooms, dried bean curd, broccolis, carrots, baby corns…. Additional of Gei Zi and Red Dates boost up the sweetness of this dish.

Fresh Water Prawn with Special Sauce (RM 135 per kg) that topped with handful of chips was sourish + appetizing.

Every mouthful of prawn was ‘lively’ and ‘bouncy’. and you know you wil love this!

Baked Cod Fish with Oat (RM 130 per kg) was appealing. It was quite a unique way to serve the cod fish with oat. Especially the sauce, it was creamy and tangy. The sauce itself can definitely draw your stomach a few bowl of rice.

Wok Fried Rice with Pumpkin Cubes (RM 40 for large serving) was something I love. I always love dishes with pumpkin in it. The rice was fluffy and fragrant and fried with wok hei. Additional of pumpkin cubes enhanced the sweetness and it brings the lovely and appealing colour to the whole dish.

It’s the time to get your hands dirty!!!

We were lucky enough to get to try their well-known Butter Crab (RM53-60 per kg). Look at the crab, they were super huge to ‘swim’ in ‘fitting’ whitish plate.

They are so meaty and the claws are gigantic in size! It was so fingers-licking good!

The crabbies were coated with thick creamy and buttery sauce. The sauce was best with fried or steamed bun

The fried buns / steamed buns (RM 6 for 12 pieces)

Next was the Salted Egg Yolk Crab. The crab was overloaded with the salted egg yolk. This dry version of crabs had over votes. We couldn’t stop ourselves from slurping over the crab. Once again, it was so fingers licking good!

Last but not least, we were served with the desserts --- Chilled Honey Dew with Avocado and Aloe Vera. It was a very refreshing dessert after dinner. However, this is prepared upon request. If you wish to try this out, do make a reservation before heading to Bangsar Seafood Garden Restaurant.

Memorable Birthday 09 Part 3: Mini Uhu! hu! from The Loaf @ Pavilion KL

Continue from Memorable Birthday 09 Part 2: Kampachi @ Pavilion KL

*Note: this is a 7-month-ago story*

It was after the birthday lunch at Kampachi, both my best-ies spent me the Cheesy-licious Cup Cakes, the Mini U-hu-hu from The Loaf. Yay, I had another 6 minis as my birthday cakes.

The variety of Mini Uhu! hu! Cheese cakes available that day.

The Minis were well-packed in the box. We took quick some times to select out minis and finally, we had these 6.

Priced at
RM 2.80 per minis
RM 15 for half dozen
RM 29 for one dozen
RM 56 for two dozens

Inspiring Fluffy, it was so so so fluffy!

Blueberry Treasure loaded with a layer thick of blueberry sauce / jam

Tangy Lemon with the smiley that can cheer you up all day.

Luxurious Chocolate. It’s so chocolicious!

Glizy Strawberry

Durian Cheese Cake with the oh-so-Durian taste

We loved all of them. The mini cheese cakes’ texture was soft and fluffy, light and flavourful. It’s so U HU HU! Now I realize why they named it as Uhu! hu! Cheese cake.

I am not a big fan of durians and I don’t take durian since young. However, both my best-ies ‘forced ‘me to try a forkful of Durian Cheese Cake which they claimed it was great.

My-Oh-My, I have to say sorry because I really can’t take the heavy Durian stink that wouldn’t go away. No matter how much peppermint fresh spray I sprayed, the horrible smell never run off. Ew…. That was quite an oh-so-different experience I had on my birthday.

Dear both best-ies, I don’t take Durian. Please, no more next round of Durian, k?

Memorable Birthday 09 Part 2: Kampachi @ Pavilion KL

Continue from Memorable Birthday 09 Part 1: Memorable Birthday 09 Part 1: Full House @ NZX

*Note: this is a 7-month-ago story*

On the Real day, I had the birthday celebration with Wen Ching and Ting Fang. They are my best-ies since we were seven years old. All Three of us love Japanese Food a lot. Hence, I suggested a lunch in Kampachi at Pavilion KL.

The environment is bright and cozy and the atmosphere is quiet. Here is a great place for lunches or dinners with friends and family; and a perfect place for either Japanese fine dining or their bento(s).

Unlimited refills of Hot Ocha allow you and your friends to have the seats throughout the long afternoon.

We had Bento as our main courses.

1. Tokubetsu Bento is the special lunch box with Grilled Black Cod Fish Teriyaki and Mixed Tempura with Cold Handmade Soba.

2. Soba and Chirashi set is the soba noodles with Deep Fried Prawn and Raw Fish on Rice.

3. Unadon and Salmon Sashimi set is the Grilled Eel on Rice with Salmon Sashimi.

Each set comes with smooth silky chawan mushi made of steams eggs with slices of mushroom and ginkgo is hidden as though the treasure buried beneath the soil.

Besides that, each set comes with fruits as desserts.

***

In my view, a meal is not considered perfect without desserts. Though we were very full after the large set of bento, Girls like us always have extra storage in the stomach to take up the desserts.

We ordered the Abekawa Mochi which is available only at weekend.

It is the welknown nuts powder based Mochi for more than 30 years by Kampachi Equatorial. It tasted almost similar to those Mua Chee from night market. However, there were differences too. The Mochi was chewy and chewier than those Mua Chee. They were really generous serving a mountain of nuts powders. We loved the nuts powders a lot as they were really fragrant and crunchy.

Thanks for the hang out, best-ies. Muacks~
