Pao Xiang Bak Kiut Teh 宝香绑线肉骨茶 @ Taman Connaught, Cheras

Pao Xiang Bak Kut Teh  宝香绑线肉骨茶; Famous for its string tied meat is now in Taman Connaught.

Business is seriously good; the meaty portions are always selling fast. There were a few times (during weekends) my parents and I tried our luck (at about 1.30pm), sadly, we always never get to try them out. the meaty portions were sold out at those times.

and so, this time we were there in the morning, 10am; surprisingly, the place was crowded and we had to wait for table.

The pot was rather small with the candle lit up underneath to maintain the warm temperature of the soup and pork. The pork or meaty slices were squeezed in the small pot and left not much space for the soup.

"The meat is cleaned of fat and blood and was tired with string before cooking. This has reduced the fat in the meat and to ensure the integrity and chewiness of meat yet retaining its juiciness and tender texture while making it absorbs much essences of their secret recipe herbal soup."

Verdict:
I love the stickiness and collagen-ous-liked texture in the soup.

However, the complain: there wasn't enough soup for me. And the volume of soup in these small pots were never enough to feed 5 of us.
I am not too sure if soup refill is allowed (FOC-ly or chargeable).
Sui Kut Tang ki(s) and Sui Kut are roughly the same.
and, the waiter seems to pushing us out by collecting the utensils and cleaning our table (without asking for permission to do so) while we were still sipping our tea!!!

Sek Me Choy BKT 锡米才瓦煲肉骨茶 @ Salak South

Bak Kut Teh is everywhere in KL and Klang. You may have somewhere you fancy most and somewhere not. Whether the BKT tastes good or not is all depends on every individual. I was here with parents, searching the taste of their peppery BKT soup that I can merely remember.

Sek Me Choy is located at the Salak South main road, just slightly opposite to a police station. You will never miss it out as it is rather stand out with 3 shops continuously and a huge banner of ‘Ah Xian’.

Bak Kut Teh in peppery soup 瓦煲胡椒肉骨茶 is one of their signature dishes. If you love pepper, you will love the soup.

Me and parents ordered for 2 pax. Hmmm, the meaty portion was quite small. But we could not stop feeding ourselves with the hot piping fragrant peppery soup. Slurp! (and this peppery soup makes you sweat!)

Besides there, steam fish and baked salted chicken are also their signatures. However, the baked salted chicken is only available in weekends.
