Yay! Tea Time!!!
I settled myself at Su's Cakes for Kicks while waiting for the parents to do their shopping.
Digging into a piece of cheese cake and sipping away the hot caffeine drink.
If only the place has better privacy setting, I would stay here all afternoon with a magazine / book with me.
Cappuccino (RM 7.50)
There was only a number selection of cheese cakes available on that Sunday. No sight of baked cheese cake and there were only chilled cheese cake and cookies. Therefore, I chose to have Dark Chocolate Cheese Cake (RM 8). It was made with imported Belgian dark chocolate that smoothly blended with cheese; rested on the Oreo cookies base and final touched with glossy chocolate cream topping. Neither too bitter nor too sweet. Just right to go with a cuppa.
Su's Cakes for Kicks started as home-based cake bakery back in 2004. We can now enjoy her tantalizing homemade cakes in Fahrenheit88 and now, she has opened a small collection depot at Lorong Kurau, Bangsar.
Happy Weekend~ :)

U.d.d.e.r.s Ice Cream @ Singapore
What's for SUPPER?!
scream for ICE CREAM!!!
Harrr??? Not fattening meh?! You may ask
Yes, it may be fattening, but how could you resist having one when everyone is queuing for it???
Seriously, when I got there at about 11PM, the queue was really long; the place was crowded and there wasn't any vacant table available.
Ground floor and first floor were packed with youngsters. I was begging in heart, please gimme a table for 4; I came from far (ie KL), die die also must try out this famous Singapore homemade ice cream.
Thankfully I did not have to wait for long :)
Udders is Singapore homegrown ice cream. It is famous for the "adult" ice cream or the liqueur-ed ice cream.
There was this huge chalk board on the wall, scribbled with all flavours.
What's that for?!
It is not the menu but a kind of voting system. On the board is a list of suggestion of flavour to be experimented; patrons can note down the flavour they wish to turn them into reality or vote the existing one using the colourful chalk.
Hmmm, Ham & Cheese flavour; hotcakes & butter flavour; Apple pie flavour... I wish they all turn real.

Opus Bistro @ Jalan Bangkung, Bangsar
Okay, I have to admit, I am quite into bulk buying deals lately, who doesn't???
This is a good way to try out new food/places without burning your pocket a big hole.
And it is also another ideal way to get you friends out after the long day works, chill together before calling it a day.
I went twice, to opus with Citygal and Chris&Christine; and a friend. Therefore, I am going to summarize up both my visits here.
Complimentary warm bread with olive oil and vinegar.
House wine

Macau Tsui Yuen Cafe @ Mongkok, HK
Travelling with Citygal is always fun. She is just like the place's dei tao chong 地头虫 a.k.a. "neighbourhood worm". I enjoyed my trip with her, relaxingly. She did all the research beforehand, planned everything and... I just followed :P
That was the evening after the afternoon tea at Paul Lafayet.
We toured like what the other tourists would do...
The Avenue of Stars located along the Victoria harbour waterfront in Tsim Tsa Tsui. More than 100 actors were honoured along the stars.
And then we enjoyed a Symphony of Lights along the Avenue of Stars started sharp at 8pm (daily) and last for about 10 minutes. Be here earlier to get the great seats/view.

Soya Chawan Mushi
Chawan Mushi, the Japanese steamed custard in a cup is one of my favourite side dishes whenever it comes to Japanese cuisine. It is something similar to Chinese steamed egg but with different ingredients hidden at the bottom of the cup
All you need are just some simple ingredients and ...
*Poooooffff*
You can have soft silky smooth Chawan Mushi at home too!
Instead of dashi, I used unsweetened soya milk to create a rich, creamy and melt-in-mouth-type Chawan Mushi
***
Soya Chawan Mushi (makes 2)
1 egg
250 ml of unsweetened soya milk
1 teaspoonful of mirin
1/8 teaspoonful of salt (adjust based on your preferences)
Little bit of soy sauce
Prawn
Japanese bunashimeiji mushroom
Steps:
Lightly beat the egg and add in soya milk, mirin, salt and soy sauce.
Mix the ingredients lightly.
Sieve the egg-liquid mixture.
Place the prawn and button mushroom into the bowl.
Pour the egg-liquid mixture into the bowl.
Steam it for a minute at high heat and then 7 minutes at low heat.
Easy, isn't it?! :)
Try it out today!

Friendscino Cafe @ Damansara Perdana
Same old table, same old place...
It was 4 years ago we visited this restaurant; and thanks to the bulk-buying-deal, we settled ourselves in this old place.
There aren't many changes on the interior, but yes, the name of this restaurant has changed from Friendster Cafe to Friendscino Cafe.
The deal came with 4-course set meal which consists of salad, soup of the day, main course and a dessert. Drinks were not included, we ordered this refreshing one at RM 8.

Bubble Tea Craze @ ComeBuy, Viva Home
The bubble tea craze / bubble tea fever has arrived in this city!!! The citizens are greatly attacked by the flavourful bubble tea along with different types of chewable in the drinks.
We have Chatime, and then followed by Gong Cha. Here comes another new brand - ComeBuy from Taiwan
I am delighted as the bubble tea seems to get nearer to my place (cheras). ComeBuy has opened it door in the newly renovated mall - Viva Home. So, whenever I am craving for bubble tea, I don't have to travel far :P
Lots to choose from the menu

Birthday Celebration @ Yuzu Japanese Restaurant + Dessert's Bar, KLCC
Ahha, back log post.
I was supposed to post this up earlier. However, I was very busy to do the archive-clean-up in the previous months.
January was one of the busiest months - with lots of birthday celebration to attend, spring cleaning and preparing for the Chinese New Year, bla bla bla bla...
On my day in January, the besties had me over here; for 'our-once-a-year-tradition-birthday-celebration'. We wandered around KLCC and found that Nippon Tei has closed down and taken over by Yuzu Japanese Restaurant. Without thinking twice, we headed in.
Unagi Tofu Set (RM 36)
Deep fried tofu topped with unagi (Japanese eel)
The set also consists of sashimi, pumpkin tempura, and small soba served with silky egg custard, appetizer, pickles, salad, fruits and tea pot soup

i ♥ taimei @ Bugis Village, Singapore
To be honest, I really love Taimei(s)
You may ask,
Who is she/ who are they?!
They are...
Selina, Ella, Hebe, Jolin Tsai, Xiao S, Da S................
See, I ♥ taimei!!!
I like the idea where they name the food on the menu after Taiwanese celebrities!
Quirky menu, isn't it?!

Amphoes Muang, River Kwai Hotel & Taraburee Restaurant @ Kanchanaburi, Thailand
Hola!!! Time to continue with my Thailand holiday back in February.
You can view here for the Summary of the trip and here for the eco vintage village in Plearnwan, Hua Hin.
Kanchanaburi is a little town located about 130 kilometers west of Bangkok. It takes about 3 hours ride to get there (from Bangkok). If you love some adventurous journey, you may opt to travel by train which takes up to 5 hours from Bangkok
I stayed in this hotel in Amphoes Muang (Kanchanaburi city) - River Kwai Hotel.
It is located at the prime location where one easily accesses to the famous River Kwai Bridge and other attractions.
