La Bodega @ Pavilion KL

Hola!~
It's happy hour time + a lil' birthday celebration for the birthday gal.
I love happy hour with friendsl a glass or two to go with some tapas or snack bites while avoiding the massive traffic jam during the after-working-hours.

Since it was also a birthday celebration, the birthday gal wanted a Spanish fix and we were brought to here - La Bodega, Pavilion KL

A jug of House Sangria (RM 50/jug)
The very very very very mild red wine with fruity taste; Cheers Cheers!

Salchichas al Diablo (small - RM 13)
Spicy chicken sausage sauteed with onions, chilli and tomato.
This one was very tasty. The sauce was infused with lots of spices, herbs and chilli. Hmmm, just can't help mopping up the sauce with the complementary bread.

Gambas a la plancha (small - RM 24)
Tiger prawns sauteed with chilli and garlic and olive oil.
Haha, I actually fancied the fragrant garlic slices in it.

Paella de pescado y mariscos (RM 30 per pax) - for minimum of 2 persons = RM 60
Spanish rice cooked with seafood such as prawns, clams, and huge mussels with saffron, pepper, and peas. A minimum of 30 mins of preparation time is needed, hence, tapas is something good to fill the tummy before the main courses. Flavoursome it was; and we love this a lot. Additional of lemon juice into it gave a tang to our rice

Crema catalane (RM 8)
The Spanish version of creme brulee.
It was very different from what we had in El Meson before (post to be up soon). Creme brulee from La Bodega was soft and was in a milky creamy texture. It wasn't solidified at all and goes best with the crunchy caramelized sugar.

1. Lovely and elegant piece for the birthday girl.
2. She was surprise with this.
3. Wearing it.
4. and we forced her to imagine that cream brulee had a candle on it - make a wish and blow. Huuuu!

What is better than having the great fun time and celebration with besties?!

Start counting down to weekends? how about a happy hour with friends/colleagues here after a-long-week-of-works?!
