What I can do now is burning extra mid night oil to swallowing books and notes and vomit-out words on the paper. Must concentrate hard and study study study!!!
Hence, I would not have any updates for a week.
Oh please, I need to get away from my PC or at least keep myself away from drooling over food blogs for a week.

It was already 3pm when we got there. And guess what?! Youngest brother and I ‘stayed’ with bro till he finished his job. And we were fooling around in the shop. Of course we’d helped him out as the ‘few-hours-assistants’. Luckily bro’s boss was not around that day; else we would be …… ‘Kicked out’ from the shop.
Since it was my first time to Hartamas Shopping Centre, I surveyed the place and found there were a few specialty shops selling Japanese and Korean food and groceries. Ho-ho, I was glad to be here. Eyeing on those nice colourful packing of snacks delighted me. All I can do was to grab some to the cashier counter and walked out with plastic bags.
When came to dinner, we chose to dine in Pad Thai, Thai restaurant as I was a little tight on pocket money. Ahhh, spent too much in those specialty shops.
The restaurant is decorated in a way of wooden style with lots of wood crafted items displaced. And it is special to see that they use cloth and ribbons to decorate the high celling.
Chocolate Milk Shake. I have no idea why my bro wanted this. It tasted as just the normal shake-d chocolate fresh milk.
The Young Mango Salad was very appetizing. I am so in love with it as it had the very sourly and spicy taste. I still can’t forget the taste of it until now!
I have never come across with Apple Fried Rice before, so I ordered this. Cubes of green apple stir-fried with white fluffy rice. Additional of spices brought out the aroma of apple in the rice. It is also served with small serving of prawn and apple salad tossed in mayonnaise. It tasted good and went well with the side dishes, mango salad or the beef we ordered. it would be much nicer if added in more apple cubes. The plate came in an enormous portion at the priced of Rm 7.90 where both of us could not finish the rice.
Black Pepper Beef was claimed delicious by bro. I don’t take beef so I eyed on them while taking the side vege like onions and capsicums.
This restaurant serves quite a variety of Thai dishes. There are many more to try out. The place was crowded that day because Malays who were berpuasa started to fill up the empty places after 6.30pm and waited to be served. They have set meals too which come in very good deal. Both me and bro missed out the set meals menu, if not, we will order their set meal and add on extra side dishes. ^^

Well, thinking that dim sum(s) may tempt my nerves. But no… let’s read what I could say bout them?!
The complementary boiled peanuts tasted the same as those canned peanuts.
My all time favourite, Har Gau but these were not good as the skin were thick and too chewy, not smooth enough.
Stir Fried Raddish Cake. This was oily and cold.
Xiu Mai(s) were nice too and we had few plates of these (what to do?! Cz there were not much selections to choose from).
Egg Tarts were good one with soft, smoothly eggie.
Fried Woo Gok.
This was new to me as it was stuffed with prawn instead of meat. there is a layer of cheese and wrapped up with Yam paste and then fried. Imagine the cheese leaks when served piping hot. Well, it was in my yummiest list.
We actually ordered the dried version but were served with the soup-base Gyoza. Couldn’t remember what the exact name it is but This Gyoza had a similarity with the Shanghai Xiu Loong Bao. There was broth inside the gyoza. Tasted okay~
There were some other dim sum(s) I never captured such as HK Chee Cheong Fun. It was not warmed enough when served and not smooth at all. Overall, I am dissatisfied with their services and the dim sum(s). Will I return for morning tea again? I am not sure unless they change their cooks?!

What a cozy ambience. Simply in love with the oldish look of every kopitiam(s).
Both me and Christine were hungry. We made order as soon as flipped through the menu.
Since we were in the Hainan-type kopitiam, I had their Hainanese Special White Coffee. It had the strong aroma of coffee. It was simply good to go with my main course.
Christine had Jasmine Honey Tea which came in a big pot of tea. It tasted jasmine-ly but not the honey taste. Good thing that it came in a big pot. We can slowly ‘tan-cha’ while waiting for Yen and Shirley (who claimed to be coming along with Yen).
I had the Hainanese Fish Fillet Sandwich where I chose my fillet to be cooked in black pepper style. The bread was just the normal bread but the peppery taste was just nice and never overtook the taste of fried fillet. although this was fried stuff, the fillet was juicy. They went well together with the bread.
As for Christine, she had the Toasted Bun with Rendang chicken. From the menu, it showed the round bun but ended up it came in a short rectangular bun. Maybe they were out of round bun?! Taste wise, I never knew Rendang went so well with the bun. Slightly spicy but the Rendang Chicken was good.
P.S. I noticed that there was an error in their menu. *hehe*

And yet, I brought along these goodies --- muffins for them which I baked in the morning. I have put in many efforts in them. Luckily they turned out to be good ones. Phew~
After our dinner in Shabu-Shabu restaurant in Bandar Puteri Puchong, we went to her house again. Guess what we did?!
---> Lighted up the lanterns.
We were like kids, playing with lanterns and lit up candles all over Leng’s garden. Feeling happy because I didn’t get to play the lantern or having any mid-autumn festival (M-A-F) celebration at home. this was my so-called mooncake festival celebration. No Mooncakes but there were lanterns for me. Anyway, i got to a belated celebration *wink*
The sweetest couple! ~
All lined up form short to tall, left to right. Beep~
Friends forever --- Yen, Khee, Leng and Me. Yen’ll be going to Aus in February while Leng will be going to Scotland in June. As for Khee, she might be back in March or if not then she will be back in September. Gonna miss them a lot!

Let’s shabu-shabu! After reading MeiYen’s review on this place, I am so eager to drop over for it. Well, Puchong is not my ‘territory’ and I have no idea where this restaurant located… until that day, Chris (Christine’s darling) brought us over.
Shabu-shabu restaurant is offering eat-all-you-can concept. What you have to do is to purchase a ticket for the buffet (where seating is on first floor). And for those who prefer to have a-la-carte meal, you can take a seat in the ground floor dining area.
Shabu-shabu is featured by 8tv, Ho Chak! before.
Rm 25 nett per pax
Menu. There is Lot of food where you can select from the conveyor belt.
I was busy eating but I’d managed to capture some pictures. We were like playing masak-masak kept adding up vege, pumpkins, tomatoes, fish and lots of fish to make our broths tastier. Khee was the one who kept instruct me in flavouring the broth. What she added, I added them in too. *hehe*
Korean Kimchi. This can be added into the soup base to flavour it. I had 2 plates of this in my pot of soup which ended up very very hot and spicy.
Seasoned baby octopus, Fu Chok, dumplings, Chicken sausages, fried fish which were good for flavouring, fish cake, Enoki mushroom
Pork slices. Freshly in pink and I myself had 2 plates of this.
Fried yam roll. Thumb up for this! Both me and khee loved this a lot.
We also had some Fried dumplings.
The food offered is quite ordinary and that’s the conveyor belt which made this place different from the others. But of course, you can show off your culinary skill in your own pot of soup. Add up everything to make your very own broth. Another thing is that, everyone is given a pot instead of sharing which is a very hygiene idea.
